New Year’s Express Train at Historic Jefferson Railway in Jefferson, TX

Bring in the New Year by going back in time on the New Year’s Express Train at Historic Jefferson Railway in Jefferson, Texas. Enjoy a day trip along the Big Cypress Bayou on an antique gas-powered train. 

Hop aboard and receive beverages, a hat and a noisemaker at the depot. According  to their Facebook page, each train will include a simulation of the New Year’s Eve Ball dropping in Times Square followed by a fantastic show of five cannons firing dramatic “dragon’s breath.”

Ticket Prices: First Class (enclosed car) $15 plus tax, lap children are free; Coach Class (open car, be sure to bring a jacket and blanket to keep warm!): $12 plus tax, children under six are free. New Year’s Express Trains depart December 29 at 12:30PM and 2:30PM.
