Peeps No Longer The Most Popular Easter Candy
Oh no. Say it isn't so.
It appears from a survey that those delicious squishy marshmallow Peeps are no longer the number one Easter confection. Yes, many parents across the country are likely secretly rejoicing that maybe this year sugary chicks and rabbits (Peeps were originally chicks) won't be smashed into their carpets and furniture.
But, hold on. They are still very popular, but according to an article from Delish.com Peeps have fallen to number 5.
- Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Chocolate Eggs
- Chocolate bunnies
- Jelly beans
- Hershey's Eggs
- Peeps
Alright so I must admit that Peeps have never been my favorite, but I have always enjoyed going to church on Easter Sunday and seeing the children with a Peep squished in their hand. I'm sure it had to be a sticky nightmare for parents, but always so funny to watch.
What was your favorite Easter candy when you were a kid? Mine had to be the white chocolate bunny. Yum!
