‘Pink Glove Dance’ Voting Around the Corner
Last year, 1500 of your neighbors and CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System associates put on pink gloves and dancing shoes to create a video for the national Pink Glove Dance Competition. The video finished 5th in the nationwide contest, think we can do better this year?You can watch the 2011 video they produced for the competition below to the music of Katy Perry's "Firework". Looks like a great time was had by all.
The purpose of the video competition is try and win a $10,000 donation from the competition sponsor for the W. Temple Webber Cancer Center. I'm really impressed that we, little ol' Texarkana, placed 5th nationwide last year.
Christus St. Michael, all of the local area high schools, government officials, local media, even radio dorks like me, and many more will once again be participating. According to the contest website, the voting should begin on October 12.
