President Biden, VP Harris & The Obamas Respond to Chauvin’s Conviction
The world sat watching in high anticipation awaiting the verdict of former Minneapolis Officer, Derek Chauvin, for the murder of George Floyd. After deliberating for just over 10 hour, the jury came back with a unanimous guilty verdict on all three counts in the death of George Floyd. He was found guilty of unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
Tears of joy filled the eyes of many to see an actual conviction handed down for the wrongful death of George Floyd while in the hands of the police. It will be another 8 weeks before Chauvin will be charged.

Chauvin showed little reaction after the verdict was announced. Judge Cahill announced his bail had been revoked and Chauvin was led away in handcuffs.
