As promised, I said I would update you on the Santa Fe High School shooting that took place this morning just outside of Galveston, Texas. Updated information on the tragic (24th) school shooting is as follows:

The suspect is 17-year-old, Dimitrios Pagourtzis, who allegedly used a shotgun and a .38 revolver to kill 10 people (9 students, one teacher) and wound 10 others this morning at Santa Fe High School. According to CNN, he has been very cooperative with Galveston police.

Pagourt admits that he did not shoot people he liked, but meant to kill those he targeted. This was probable cause for an affidavit. Pagourtzis was denied bail and is accused of capital murder of multiple people and aggravated assault on a public servant.

One classmate told CNN that Dimitrios Pagourtzis was quiet and wore trench coats all the time.

The governor offered his sympathy and gave the following statement:
"We need to do more than just pray for the victims and their families. It's time in Texas that we take action to step up and make sure this tragedy is never repeated ever again."

More updates to come.
