Stream Live! DMX ‘Celebration Of Life Memorial’ Today At 3

Today at 3 p.m., DMX's family and friends will gather to remember the iconic rapper at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. A private funeral and "Homegoing Celebration Memorial" will be held Sunday at an undisclosed church in New York.

According to DMX's Instagram page, only close friends and family will be allowed to attend due to COVID restrictions.

His funeral and "Homegoing Celebration" will also be covered by BET on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT. Coverage will air on BET and its YouTube channel. Connie Orlando, BET executive vice president of specials, music programming and music strategy, gave the following statement to CNN.

"The authenticity and transparency in his music were profound, creating a lane of his own that changed hip-hop forever. BET is proud to pay our respect to a legend and show our love and support to DMX's family during this difficult time.

DMX, born name, Earl Simmons will be missed. And ultimately, he will be remembered!
