The 20-year-old Wheeling, IL, native was booted from 'American Idol' late Thursday night, leaving Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to battle it out for the season 10 crown.

For Ralph Macchio, it was close, but not close enough. The 'Karate Kid' star was officially kicked out of the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 12 competition Tuesday night, ending a somewhat rocky road to the semifinals. Macchio, who began the season with an unexpectedly strong debut performance, thanked his fans and partner Karina Smirnoff for an unforgettable run on the show.
