Spring Lake Park

Halloween is just around the corner and we all know that Trick or Treaters are looking for something fun and special to do, and do it safely. Here are a few events going on in the Texarkana area from Trick or Treating and Drive-thru Trunk or Treating events to Fall Festivals and Haunted Trails or Houses.

It's that time of year to enjoy the cooler nights and catch some free movies outside at Spring Lake Park. 'Movies in the Park' Starts up this Thursday, October 15.

Everyone is determined to make sure Covid-19 will not ruin Halloween this year. It's all about making it 'Rona Style'. It was just announced this week that there will be a special 'Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat' event right here in Texarkana.

Spring Lake Park is one of the oldest parks in Texarkana. I grew up here and spent many years going to the park to feed the ducks. But in all my years I would have never imagined what it would look like with the water almost drained.

With all the restrictions because of Covid-19 over the last couple of months, one thing we have definitely learned is to appreciate the little things. The other thing we learned is it would have been really, really hard to deal with everything if we didn't have access to the internet!

Looks like the rain will cause the Community Yard Sale tomorrow to be postponed until next Saturday, November 2.

Movies in the Park will be returning to Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, next month.

The Rotary Splash Pad at Spring Lake Park will be closing for the season on September 30.

What's better than watching a really good movie.... watching it in the park under the sky! So, don't miss "Movie In the Park" on June 6 ("Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2"), and June 13 ("Aquaman") Showings are at Spring Lake Park, and as always, they will kick off at sunset...

The Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department has rescheduled the Annual Community Yard Sale at Spring Lake to its alternate date of Saturday, June 01, due to inclement weather.

The City of Texarkana, Texas Animal Control Services is pleased to host Bark at the Park this Saturday, November 3.
