Texarkana Area COVID-19: By The Numbers

Bowie County reports a total of 4375 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases including 7 possible cases. COVID-related deaths are at 163. Active cases are reported at 544. The total recovered cases for Bowie County is 5476.

Vaccine Update:

The Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Clinic successfully vaccinated 600 individuals qualifying in Phase 1A and 1B last week as part of the Texas Vaccination Plan for COVID-19. The health clinic will continue this effort as more vaccination allocations are received in the coming weeks and months. However, no new allocations were made to the clinic this week.

There are currently more than 4,680 names on the clinic’s waiting list for vaccinations; however, the waiting list will be suspended at this time until the Health Department receives more allocations to supply the demand.

Bowie County’s vaccination hub at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System was allocated 2,000 doses of vaccination this week, and all appointments for these doses have been filled. Individuals may visit vaccinate.christushealth.org after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15 for updated information on vaccines.

Cass County has a total of 1082, plus 4 probable cases and 1523 of those recovered, 110 active cases, and a COVID death total of 73.
