Bowie County reports a total of 4409 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases including 19 possible cases. COVID-related deaths are at 167. Active cases are reported at 535. The total recovered cases for Bowie County is 5533.

Vaccine Update:
The Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Clinic successfully vaccinated 600 individuals qualifying in Phase 1A and 1B last week as part of the Texas Vaccination Plan for COVID-19. The health clinic will continue this effort as more vaccination allocations are received in the coming weeks and months. However, no new allocations were made to the clinic this week.
There are currently more than 4,680 names on the clinic’s waiting list for vaccinations; however, the waiting list will be suspended at this time until the Health Department receives more allocations to supply the demand.
Bowie County’s vaccination hub at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System was allocated 2,000 doses of vaccination this week, and all appointments for these doses have been filled. Individuals may visit vaccinate.christushealth.org after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15 for updated information on vaccines.

Cass County has a total of 1083, plus 4 probable cases and 1531 of those recovered, 107 active cases, and a COVID death total of 73.

Free testing is down for the weekend but is scheduled to resume on Monday, February 15. Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.
