Starting salary for a new officer begins at $42,222 and officers can make up to $52,530 after five years with the department.  If you're already a certified officer, you can also qualify for a $3,000 hiring bonus and lateral entry with up to five years' credit for prior experience.
The Texarkana Police Department also offers a great benefits package, with 120 hours of paid vacation time, 120 hours of sick leave, paid health and dental insurance, twelve paid holidays per year, incentive pay, and a 20-year TMRS retirement plan.
