Texarkana Woman Found Dead in Home Suspect Arrested
The Texarkana Texas Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that took place this afternoon (8/12) in the 6200 block of Summerhill Place.
According to a press release, officers responded to a welfare check at 11:30 A.M. this morning and found 27-year-old Jennifer Garrett dead inside her home. Her boyfriend, Travis Turner, was arrested for the alleged murder and booked into the Bi-State Criminal Justice Building. The body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
It’s still very early in the investigation and sources say more information will be forthcoming.
