There’s a Town With 40 Miles of Driving Trails With Amazing Bluebonnets
It's the season for bluebonnets to start blooming big time. Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas and when you see a field full of these beautiful wildflowers you won't believe your eyes. There is a town in Texas where you can drive 40 miles of mapped trails and see fields and fields of bluebonnets.
The Bluebonnet Capital of Texas
Ennis is considered the Blue Bonnet Capital of Texas and for good reason. There are 40 miles of mapped driving Bluebonnet Trails. Ennis, Texas actually was designated the home of the 'Offical Texas Bluebonnet Trail' by the Texas State Legislature in 1997.
April is The Month to See The Bluebonnets
April is the month to check out bluebonnets but the best is usually the third week of April. In fact, the Ennis Garden Club members actually drive the trails every week in April and give a status update on the blooming of the bluebonnets or at the Ennis Welcome Center. Maps are available at the visitor’s center.

And for even more fun there is the annual festival the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival this year it is this weekend Friday, April 8 - Sunday, April 10.
