Never trade your authenticity for approval.

This has been on my mind to share for a while now. Probably because I’ve been guilty of this, myself. Not to share too much… but I was always too “white” to be black, and too curvy and hood to be "white". There was no category for me growing up. But that’s what shaped and molded me. Let’s fast forward some 30 plus years…. People who come into my life now are ATTRACTED… not recruited. Let’s be very clear! And what are they attracted to? My authentic self. Whether I’m quoting a scripture or being ratchet/lady like… at the end the day… I am me! Like I always tell you guys… Everybody who’s in the crowd are not in your audience. Don’t trade your authenticity for approval.
