Idris Elba says he had the royal wedding party jamming out to Tupac Shakur's music.

The actor-DJ appeared on ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday morning (July 30) and briefly touched on his experience curating the playlist for newlyweds Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's wedding after-party. Elba says that the royal family had a great time and rocked out to the sounds of 'Pac and other notable artists.

"They had a great time, [they had] some particular music they wanted me to play, some Whitney Houston, some Tupac—it went down," Elba told Good Morning America co-host  Michael Strahan.

It's no secret that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a soft spot for hip-hop. Earlier this year, Jay-Z and Beyonce accepted their 2019 BRIT Award for Best International Group by filming their acceptance speech in front of a family portrait of the Duchess. Afterward, Beyonce shared the video to Instagram and sent well wishes to Meghan and Prince Harry for their first child. Months later, both power couples finally met at the premiere of Disney's The Lion King.

While the royal couple receives praise for their love for 'Pac, one superfan, Jerry Foxhoven, was reportedly let go from his job frequently displaying his love of 'Pac through work emails. The 66-year-old was asked to resign from his two-year tenure as the director of Iowa’s social services agency after he sent too many emails about the late rapper.

Watch Idris Elba talk about playing Tupac Shakur's music at the royal wedding after-party below at the 6:38 mark.
