United Way Of Greater Texarkana to Kick Off 2019 Campaign

Tomorrow (September 6) will kick off the 95th campaign season for the The United Way Of Greater Texarkana (UWGT). According to executive director, Mark Bledsoe, this year is already starting on a positive note with an outstanding amount of pledges as a result of the Pacesetters kickoffs.

Most every company is outperforming last year's results.

Both mayors of Texarkana TX, Bob Bruggerman and Texarkana, AR, Ruth Penney Bell will be on hand as the new campaign video is released in addition to other area elected officials. Arkansas High School's ROTC will present the colors. A TISD 11th grader will sing the National Anthem and give her inspirational testimony.

The United Way Of Greater Texarkana has added several new agencies/programs this past Community Impact session. The additional community support received from last year's campaign will help fund these programs.

The 2019 campaign goal is $900,000, and it will take the community's support to achieve this mark.
