Wal-Mart is my go-to for dang near everything. From groceries, to toiletries, to wine, to clothes, Wally World got well. What if I told you that we can now add drive-in movie to that list. The multinational retailer corporation made an announcement  that 160 supercenter store locations were going to start hosting 'pop up' drive-in movies. Because I'm always in East Texas, I was happy to see some East Texas locations on the list.

The movies will be programmed by the Tribeca Drive-In team, with the series expected to start in August and running through October. In addition, the 320 family-friendly showings are expected to include special appearances from filmmakers and celebrities.

Below is a list of the featured movies coming (Subject To Change and Vary By Location)

Wonder Woman

SPY KIDS

SPACE JAMS

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE

GHOST BUSTERS

THE WIZARD OF OZ

BLACK PANTHER

ET THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Because I'm in East Texas often, I plan to hit up one of the following locations to see what this whole Wally World drive-in movie experience is like.

Wal-Mart in Bossier City located at 2526 Airline Dr. Bossier City, Louisiana. October 9

Wal-Mart in Kilgore located at 1201 Stone Rd. Kilgore, Texas. Oct. 13 & 14

Wal-Mart in Tyler located at 5050 Troup Hwy Tyler, Texas. Oct 16, 17, 20, & 21.

Tickets are free, but must be requested in advance and will not be available at the gates.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the movie begins promptly at 7:30 p.m., with no late entry. Anyone can get tickets and parking will fill up to maximum capacity.

To ensure everyone's safety, Walmart is asking that all guest to remain in their car and parking spaces will be socially distanced.

Kudos to Walmart to continue to bring families together while we still adjust to this new normal.
