Watch Out For Burglars At Texarkana Parks

The Texarkana Texas Police remind you to make sure you lock your vehicles at all times.

The police department says that they have had several cars getting broken into at Spring Lake Park and Bringle Lake Park over the past few days.

Burglars do not want to draw any attention to themselves so they are only getting into vehicles that are unlocked. Most nighttime burglaries involve breaking out a window but with today's modern car alarms and the attention from having to break out a window , thieves do not want to make that much noise.

The first thing that you can do to be safe is to always lock your doors. Even if you will only be away from your car for a short time, make sure to lock it. The second thing is to make sure that you do not leave any valuables in your car that may attract these thieves.

If you must leave something valuable in your car make sure to keep it in the back seat or in the rear floorboard so that a possible thief can not see it and be tempted to break in. And make sure to take your keys with you when you leave your car.
