This Black History Month, we highlight Bess Gamble-Williams.

Bess is highly respected businesswoman and community leader in the Ark-La-Tex area with a true heart for Texarkana. She is a very distinguished Texarkana native as noted by her countless accomplishments which include being a retired Marine Corp veteran at the Fiscal Chief level, Civil Rights activist, private investigator and EEO chair, to name a few. A true shero and extremely proud of her Choctaw Native American lineage... she has received many community awards including the Dr. MLK, Jr. ‘Acts of Kindness Individual Award’ and ‘Dr. Calvin Rolark Business and Economic Award’ She is the founding director of the non-profit anti-bullying group, T.A.B..... Taking Action Against Bullying and changing the Texarkana community child at a time. This week in Black History Month, we salute Mrs. Bess Gamble-Williams.
