What The Heck Is ‘Brinnertime’ And Can You Really Enjoy It?
What the heck is 'Brinnertime'? And would you like to enjoy some?
I found an article that has a conversation about how many Americans would prefer breakfast for dinner and somehow they came up with the term 'Brinnertime'. Thirty-one percent of those people in the survey would definitely give up their dinner for breakfast. Around my house, this is usually something we try to do at least one time a week.
In the study, there is a pretty good mix of people around forty-eight percent, who want their breakfast for dinner, or 'Brinner' a good mix of savory and sweet.
Twenty-three percent like their breakfast food a little sweeter like some pancakes or French toast.
Twenty-two percent like it savory with eggs and omelets topping the list of favorite breakfast foods.
At my house, our breakfast for dinner is usually some scrambled eggs with cheese of course bacon and I usually do some biscuits in the air fryer. The air fryer is my go-to when it comes to doing breakfast. It is pretty easy to do biscuits in it. Then my family can take their biscuits and do whatever they want to them. From Jelly or honey to my son making a breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon.
The article had this to say about people's preference for breakfast for dinner:
Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Happy Egg, the poll also asked about the best time to eat traditional American breakfast foods like fried eggs, waffles, cereal or bagels. Sixty-five percent of respondents say that breakfast foods taste better for dinner, or “brinner.” And two-thirds (65%) admit to making dinner leftovers into their next-day breakfast.
