Will This Bad News About Arkansas Make You Want to Move?

There is no doubt that Arkansas is a beautiful state. It has some of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Plus beautiful mountains and hiking trails, but a new study just came out showing that Arkansas might not be the best place for something very, very important.

A recent study from Wallethub is saying that the state of Arkansas is not good at being a family-friendly kind of state. In fact, this study says Arkansas is not a good place to raise a family, it's one of the worst. Seriously?

The study scored all 50 states on Family Fun, Health & Safety, Education & Child Care,  Affordability and Socio-economics.

For what it's worth our neighbors in Texas and Louisana didn't fair that great either. Arkansas did beat Louisana. Yay, Arkansas!

The Top States to raise a family in this study were: Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New York. Where did Texas and Arkansas come into the study?

Texas came in at #26, not good not bad just almost smack dab in the middle.

Arkansas' score

Arkansas, unfortunately, came in at number #44. that's out of 50 states. Ugh! That's not good at all.

Here's the deal, I think that Arkansas sometimes gets the bad end of the deal on certain 'studies'. Arkansas' scores for Education and Child Care, Affordability and Socio-economic weren't bad. They were easily in the middle.

Here's Where Arkansas Scored Low

This study shows that Arkansas scored low on health and safety but shockingly it scored super low on family fun at 48. What? Wait a minute. I totally disagree with this score and I hope you do too. If Arkansas' great outdoors, camping, fishing, beautiful lakes, diamond mine, zoos, museums, water parks and more don't count toward tons of family fun then there is seriously a problem with this study!

I think Arkansas is a wonderful place to raise a family. Plus, kids will learn how to appreciate nature, after all, Arkansas is the Nature State.
