My wife is not a sports fan, at all really, I am and do enjoy watching the Olympic Games and cheering on Team USA, but after a few hours of swimming, biking, weight lifting and such, I need something else to watch for while. So, my wife and I thought we would share a list of some good TV to watch that literally has nothing to do with sports. There are a few on here I haven't seen yet either, but they made my wife's list so they must be good.

Prodigal Son

An original take on crime drama where a gifted criminal psychologist – who happens to be the son of a famous serial killer - lends his talents to the NYPD to solve murders; all while dealing with his hovering mother and criminally insane father seeking to bond with him. Starring Tom Payne, Michael Sheen. 2 seasons

This show combines an embedded storyline along with incident-of-the-week fare, intertwining them seamlessly. Lots of twists, turns, and originality. Starring Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi. 1 Complete Season, Season 2 currently showing.
Originally on CBS, Evil is now streaming on Paramount+ with new episodes on Sunday. The move to Paramount+ was a good one. The show is much edgier.

A raucously funny offering by the SyFy Channel about an alien who crash lands in the Colorado mountains with a secret mission to kill all humans on the planet. His plans go awry when he is forced to pass himself off as the town doctor. All seems to be going well until one town resident, a 9-year-old boy, can see his true alien form. Tons of laugh-out-loud, very adult humor. Starring Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Linda Hamilton. Season 1 recently completed, renewed for Season 2, coming in January 2022.

In the process of stopping Armageddon, the pair manage to lose the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy who has no idea he was born to bring about the end of days, forcing the duo on an adventure to find him before it’s too late. Great fun and fantastic soundtrack. Starring David Tennant, Michael Sheen. 1 Season, renewed for Season 2.

Designated Survivor

After a devastating attack during the State of the Union address claims the lives of the President, VP, and most of the cabinet, Tom Kirkman, HUD secretary and Designated Survivor for the evening, finds himself suddenly promoted to President. Kirkman struggles to keep the country together as he adjusts to his new position, completely unaware of the horrors that await him. Edge-of-your-seat political thriller that’s an enjoyable watch. Starring Keifer Sutherland, Italia Ricci. 3 Seasons. Started out on ABC and moved to Netflix for 3rd and final season. Lots of binging to be had here with network seasons involved.

Dark

Completely mind-bending, plot-driven German sci-fi thriller with twists, turns, time-travel, and an intricately woven story that requires actual thought to watch. Children begin vanishing in a small German town, highlighting the fractured and duplicitous lives of four families over several generations and LOTS of year-hopping. It’s hard to explain but so worth the watch. It will suck you in. Don’t worry. If you get confused, there are plenty of explanation videos on YouTube. Starring Louis Hofmann, Lisa Vicari. Well-dubbed in English. 3 Seasons

Jim thumbs up! Donna has not seen it. You gearheads don't poopoo this one, I love Top Gear and The Grand Tour, this was a hoot as well, after all, it is Clarkson, what could go wrong?
