Artist 411 on KT Tunstall

She was born Kate Victoria Tunstall on June 23, 1975 in Scottland. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See are two of her songs that we have played on Mix 93-3.

She goes by the nickname "KT" rather than her given name because she doesn't feel Kate sounds like a rocker.

KT Tunstall has released four albums internationally: Eye to the Telescope in 2004, KT Tunstall's Acoustic Extravaganza in 2006, Drastic Fantastic in 2007 and Tiger Suit in 2010. She is not only a singer but also plays the guitar and writes songs.

KT was adopted when she was 18 days old. Her biological mother was half-Chinese and half-Scottish. Her biological father was Irish. KT has a great voice with a different sort of beat to her music. It is very catchy for sure.
