Friday’s Pearls of Wisdom

One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American female astronaut. She said, “Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations.”

People will always try to talk you out of what they can’t see themselves doing. That’s why you will never see a turtle and a giraffe hanging out. A turtle can only see things from the level it’s on. It’s perception is very limited. (Know anybody like that?) That’s not a diss to the turtle…. But when you are built to be tall, you will hurt yourself trying to bend down and see it from a turtle’s point of view.  So this year, get around some other giraffes and leave the turtles alone.
