This time of year is tough, finding the good gifts for the holidays, getting ready for company on Thanksgiving, cleaning the house... oh yeah, don't forget high school football playoffs. Congratulations to Texas High, Ashdown, De Kalb, and Pleasant Grove all moving up the playoff brackets this week. These kids and coaches can hardly think of anything else except winning this week and moving up to the next level.

Below are the teams advancing this week and with any luck, won't find the end of their season any time soon.

Friday Games:

Texas High Tigers (10-0) beat Fulshear last week and moves on to take on Texas City (10-1) this Friday night (11/19) at 7:30 PM. The game will be in the neutral site of Lufkin at Martin Stadium.

Ashdown (9-2) defeated Lonoke last weekend will take on Shiloh Christian (10-1) this Friday night in Springdale, AR at 7 PM.

De Kalb Bears (8-3) won over Arp last week and advance to take on the Newton Eagles (9-1) Friday night at 7 PM. They will play at Carthage Bulldog Stadium.

Saturday Games:

The Pleasant Grove Hawks (6-5) beat Canton last week and move up the bracket to take on (10-1) Glenn Rose this Saturday in Frisco.

The game will take place at The Frisco Ford Center, also known as "The Star". It's an earlier game that starts at 2:30 PM. If you are going to the game you should also be aware of The Star's "Security and Bag Policy"... If you come be-boppin' up there with a backpack they will send you back to your car, and you may not get back in. See their policy here.

Good luck this weekend to all our area teams!

What Makes This House in Texas Unique? It's Totally Underground!

This is one of the craziest houses ever because it's totally underground.
The house is located in Buffalo, Texas. The house is $3,000 Square feet and sits on or should we say under almost 40 acres. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and no windows! But the owners got creative bringing the outdoors inside. Check out the murals in the house. Painted trees, blue skies plus a room that has a beach scene mural. Why would you need windows?
