200+Couples to Marry at Solar Eclipse Event in Arkansas

One of the most unique events in the state of Arkansas Elope at the Eclipse is coming in just a little over a month when over 200 couples and counting will gather to get married in Russellville, Arkansas making it one of the biggest mass weddings in the state.

Mass Wedding Ceremony

Couples from at least 17 states in the U.S. are expected to tie the knot minutes before the Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024.

According to KARK 4 News, Rodney Williams the organizer of the Total Eclipse of the Heart event says the wedding will be at the Russellville Soccer Complex. The wedding ceremony is open to anyone thinking of eloping or wanting to get married. However, you must register online before arriving because the Pope County Courthouse will be closed on April 8, so it's crucial if couples want to get a marriage license do it before then.

All-Expenses Paid

Couples will be provided a wedding cake, decorations, flowers, a photographer, live music, and a drink to toast including the price of two $100 festival tickets. Willams said everything will be provided except the ring and the dress, that's on you. Guests must purchase a ticket as well to attend the wedding.

The wedding ceremony will end just minutes before totality takes place with over 4 minutes of complete darkness with only the stars and a thin circle of light around the moon resembling a huge wedding ring in the sky.
