Texas DPS Investigating Fatality Accident Involving Pedestrian

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident in Bowie County involving a pedestrian.

According to the DPS, troopers responded to a crash on US-82, approximately 3.6 miles west of New Boston, Texas.

A 2014 Chevrolet Suburban traveling west on US-82 struck a pedestrian who ran into the path of the suburban as he was attempting to cross US-82.

The pedestrian, identified as 46 year old Christopher Roger Simpson of New Boston, Texas was airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana with incapacitating injuries. Mr. Simpson died from those injuries,

The driver, a  23 year old female from Simms, Texas and her passengers were not injured.
