The Texarkana Arts and Humanities Council presents its Speaker Series with Tammy Harrington on May 19 th in downtown Texarkana.

This is what the Texarkana Arts and Humanities Council had to say about this upcoming event on May 19th:

Tammy Harrington will be speaking on how she honors her background in her contemporary art pieces. If you’re an artist who wants to incorporate more of their background into their artwork this would be a great topic to come listen to.

Tammy Harrington had this to say about her unique form of art:

In my art, I explore the impact cross-cultural influences (Chinese and American) have had upon my development and growth. Each culture is equally influential, yet so different from each other. I use symbolic color, pattern, and iconography to represent the two cultures.

Tammy will share her passion for her unique form of art. Event-goers will get some insight on how to capitalize on their passion and possibly turn it into their own small business. So make plans now to experience this unique event and meet fellow artists and small business owners.

This is just one of many speaker series events that the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council hosts. This event will be on April 21 and will be from 6:30 until 7:30 PM at Cabe Hall which is located at 321 West 4th Street in Downtown Texarkana. The schedule for the remaining speakers in the series is as follows. Jes Weiner, June 16, and Anthony Bruce wrap up the series on July 21.
