It's Homecoming season. As I see all the photos from parents posting pics of their sons and daughters all dressed up for the high school tradition I can't help but think, Wow these Homecoming dresses have really changed since my day.

Now, I am in no way saying the dresses today are wrong but I don't think my parents would have let me out the door in some of the homecoming dresses that I've seen recently. Yes, times and fashion change. In fact, a quick look at the Homecoming dresses through the years also makes me think, What was my generation in the 80s thinking when we happily put on dresses that made us look like we were ready for a Dynasty catfight like Alexis and Krystle?

Now, to be honest, I didn't go to my school's homecoming or prom. I was way too boy shy and the thought of going to a dance brought on a total panic attack at least until I entered college. Senior Prom? I was at a Billy Idol concert with a friend...Oh, yes I did! And it was a blast.
