Monday’s Pearls Of Wisdom

When I worked in education, I put a lot of time and energy into my kids. They were all at risk, all girls, and in high school.

Often I would grow frustrated because I felt like I was losing a few of them. I was speaking with one of the counselors at work one day and she said something to me that changed my life.... She said, "Keeta, all you can do is provide an opportunity, which is exactly what you've done. Now it's up to them what they do with it".

That being said.... just know that every single morning you wake up and take a breath, you have an opportunity. No matter what you've been through, no matter what you've suffered, no matter what people think of you, if you woke up out of bed this morning, you woke up with an opportunity. What you do with it is what separates the men from the boys, the women from the girls. THAT'S what separates the victorious from the victims.
