Americans will be celebrating the 4th of July weekend with our nation's Independence Day set for Tuesday many planned hometown celebrations and firework shows begin this weekend.

Summertime is finally here and the 4th of July weekend is just around the corner that means family, food, fun, and fireworks.

Independence Day is on a Tuesday this year and many of you may be planning a long weekend in Arkansas. If so, I have listed 5 places where you can watch incredible fireworks shows not too far from Texarkana that will certainly be worth the drive.

For years Texarkana has made Hot Springs their vacation destination whether it's for a short getaway or a weeklong stay. Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start to summer and what better place to be for its annual Memorial weekend fireworks display...

It doesn't matter how many times we remind you, some people still seem to forget about the whole "illegal-fireworks-inside-the-city-limits" thing. It's true, and it can cost you money and more.

What would the Memorial holiday weekend be without a fireworks display? Well, you will not have to venture too far from Texarkana to see a great display over Lake Hamilton on Sunday, May 24, weather permitting.

Sparks in the Park over the weekend was a big success but if you didn't get your fill of fireworks yet, there are still plenty of firework displays to see this Wednesday the 4th of July.
