Tuesday’s Pearls Of Wisdom

In honor of the lovely life and dedication of Angela Davis on her 77th birthday, I want to share with you my favorite quote by the legend.

I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change, I’m changing the things I can not accept.

Have you ever been sick and tired of being sick and tired of something, somebody or a situation? Angela Davis was a relentless, tireless political activist… Heavy on the civil rights… Heavy on the afro and right fist. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama the heart of racism and she has dedicated her life and work to ending racial injustice and unfairness. Those 4 little girls who were killed in the 6th Street Baptist Church bombing that dreadful day in 1963 were her friends. She hasn't let up and at 77 she continues to use her voice to speak out injustice across the nation.

If there’s something in your life that you don’t like and refuse to accept… whether it’s social injustice, racial inequality, physical abuse in a relationship, or any for of abuse or misuse….. Only YOU can change that situation. And it begins with a changed mind that says "I’m/we’re better than this!!  If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.
