Unload Your Gift Cards Now

Use those gift cards before they are worthless. Even though the recession is supposedly, there is still some fall out for retail stores. Don't get caught holding a piece of plastic that has no value.A few big stores have filed for bankruptcy and other are headed in that direction. Borders  recently filed and Blockbuster has been working its way through bankruptcy since last September. According to reports, tomorrow is the last day Blockbuster will accept gift cards.

What gift cards are you still carrying around? I checked my wallet and I have a few Walmart cards, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Big Jake's BBQ, Bed Bath & Beyond, Olive Garden, Tractor Supply Company, a prepaid car wash card and a merchandise credit from Lowe's. Even though I have no worries about these places going out of business or anything like that, I plan to use some cards this week!
