Beads Will Fly on Entire Parade Route During Texarkana Mardi Gras Celebration
The Krewe of Koinonia Mardi Gras parade will roll this Saturday at 3 p.m. and beads will be thrown along the entire parade route. This year's parade theme is The Roaring 20s.
Texarkana's 3rd annual Mardi Gras celebration is Saturday, Feb. 7. The fun will take place at Front Street Festival Plaza in Downtown Texarkana. Vendor booths will open at 1 p.m.

Kids’ activities include:

- face painting
- bungee bouncing
- inflatable slide
- rock climbing wall
- bounce houses
- mechanical bull
Vendors include:
- crawfish
- gumbo
- Philly cheesesteak
- blooming onions
- burgers, hot dogs and corndogs

- kettle corn

Timeline for events:
- 12:30—Grand parade lineup begins
- 1:00—Vendor area and kids’ activities open
- 1:45—Kids and pet parade lineup begins (Front and Olive streets)
- 2:00—Grand parade judging begins
- 2:15—Kids and pets parade begins
- 3:00—Grand parade begins
- 4:30 (apx)—Riverbilly concert begins (immediately following parade)
