Texarkana’s Farmers’ Market Set To Open May 1

The Farmers' Market located at 305 Texas Boulevard is set to open on May 1 for the 2021 summer season.

The market will open every Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon or until everything is sold out.  If you're like me, eating healthier became an even greater priority after contracting COVID. Aaaand it doesn't help that I'm turning 40 something this year. (the exact number escapes me at the moment.

Nonetheless, we can all look for a social media campaign highlighting the many vendors who are participating in the 2021 Farmers' Market this year. The theme this year is "Meet Your Farmers'". My dad is a farmer, and regularly participated in the Farmers' Market in our hometown before rheumatoid arthritis claimed much of the mobility of his hands. I know how much time, hard work and love is put into the growing of crops each season.

So, mark your calendars and shop local and support our local economy, family farms, and small businesses. Oh and farmers tell pretty interesting stories as well. lol
