Tuesday’s Pearls Of Wisdom

Four days from today (December 5, 1955), was the day of Rosa Park's trial for not giving up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. So, the African American community bonded together to stay off busses. In other words, they took a stand.

Alexander Hamilton, the original person who said it better than I've ever heard it said... If you don't stand up for something, you will fall for anything.... That stands true in EVERY aspect of life. Whether it's your business partnerships, your relationships, friendships, etc. There comes a point and time when you HAVE to teach people how to treat you.... which is what she did. The irony is that she took a stand by sitting down. By sitting down, she stood up for what she believed in.... what she KNEW her worth to be... how she knew she wanted to be valued and treated.
