Never trade your authenticity for approval.

This has been on my mind to share for a while now. Probably because I’ve been guilty of this, myself. Not to share too much… but I was always too “white” to be black, and too curvy and hood to be "white". There was no category for me growing up. But that’s what shaped and molded me. Because I ALWAYS wanted to just fit in.... but I never did... because I wasn't created to.

Let’s fast forward some 30 plus years…. People who come into my life now are ATTRACTED… not recruited! Let’s be very clear... What are they attracted to? My authentic self. What you see is what you get! Whether you meet me on the airwaves or in person... you get ME & whatever that entails. Whether I’m quoting a scripture or lady like with shot of ratchet… at the end the day… I am me! SO YOU BE YOU! Because can't nobody beat you being YOU when you're being YOU! That's your biggest flex.  THAT'S what's attractive  to those in your audience. We ain't worried about the crowd. Check out POW from yesterday to know where I'm coming from.
